VADODARA/ANAND: A one day workshop on open enterprise resource planning (ERP) as a project management module was conducted at the Indukaka Ipcowala Institute of Management (IIIM), a constituent institute of Charotar University of Science and Technology (CHARUSAT).

Under – MANAS seminar series – IIIM is organizing many seminars and workshops for students of management. The workshop on open ERP was conducted under this series in which assistant application engineer from Gandhinagar – Jigar Amin – was invited as a resource person.

Amin carried out sessions on issues like ERP, open ERP, importance of project management and project formulation among others. More than 32 students of masters in business administration and post graduate diploma in management of 2011-13 batch pursuing specialization in project management participated in this workshop.

“We have rejuvenated the MANAS series for benefit of both students and faculty members,” in-charge principal of IIIM Dr Govind Dave said, adding that the series of seminars is being organized under two different heads – internal development in the form of students as well as faculty forums and external exposure in the form of expert or guest Sessions.

“As a part of this series, every week a seminar or workshop is being conducted. In each seminar and workshop reputed free-lancer speakers and eminent experts are invited to conduct guest sessions along with the sessions of internal faculty members on important issues relevant to the field of management,” said Dave.
